Impossible To Upgrade To Joomla 6

SP Page Builder 1 week ago

Had no issues upgrading your sites to 6.x before today. This one particular has all 3rd party extensions disabled except for yours!!!!, the latest template PITECH build and the latest pagebuilder ext is installed.. when i disable the backwards compatibility plugin as instructed by the Joomla upgrade system, the entire admin and site goes down. I fix that by going to the phpadmin and reanabling the plugin via the table structure.. everything comes back up fine.. I go back to the Joomla admin and start over, the same thing happens..all extensions are up to date.. no imcompatible extnsiosn are enabled.. and the same things happens over and over and over...is s never ending loop and yes im on php 8.3

what can help now?

Hi there!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

To assist you more effectively, may I kindly request temporary administrative access to your site? This will allow me to thoroughly investigate and resolve the issue for you.

Before sharing the credentials, I strongly recommend taking a complete backup of your site to ensure all data remains secure.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards

Err, i prefer you tell me what to look for really and what experiences your team has solving an issue like this?

as surely something like this has been encountered before?.... please use your teams experience to help you, giving you access to a clients website for something, that should have some basic steps to try first or look for first, seems like over reach to me..

AND I CAN SAVE TIME WATING FOR ANSWERS, BY CONTINUING TO HUNT AND TRY AND FIND A SOLUTION MYSELF !!. THATS ME SAVING YOUR VAULABLE TIME AS WELL RIGHT? THE SITE IS RUNNING MIRACULOUSLY WELL ON J5.xx AS IT IS RIGHT NOW. Would I like to upgrade like the rest of course.

This is a sigificant clients e-commece website ..with nothing on it except your page builder and all its add-ons that comes with it..

Ive been doing regular backups of this site btw since i encoutered this issue and alwwys back up before any upgrade, so no problem there, but you should not need to get access for every question you get. IMHO of course.

Regards

Hello,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

This does not appear to be a common or previously reported issue, so we’re unable to provide a definitive solution without further diagnostics. To verify, we tested the Pitech template Quickstart package in a clean environment and did not encounter the same problem. For your reference, we have attached a screen recording in the hidden content section.

If you prefer not to share administrator access at this stage, we completely understand. As an alternative, you can help us narrow down the issue by following these steps:

  1. Enable Debug Mode from Global Configuration (screenshot reference: https://prnt.sc/d66XmnN-xvfL)
  2. Disable the relevant plugin
  3. Capture and share a screenshot of any error messages that appear

This information will allow us to analyze the root cause more accurately and guide you with a targeted solution.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Best regards

Disabling the relevant plugin is more waste or my time...when I do the entire backend and website goes down...THERE IS NOTHING TO SCREENSHOT...

Capture and share a screenshot of any error messages that appear..YOU'RE FUNNY...

ANOTHER 30 MINS OF MY TIME WASTE ON USELESS SUPPORT..

I apologize for the frustration caused.

As previously demonstrated, the Pitech template Quickstart upgrades to Joomla 6 and works correctly even when the plugin is disabled, so the issue does not appear to be template-related. This suggests that another extension, plugin, or module on your site may be causing the conflict.

To proceed efficiently without requiring direct access, could you please provide a full site backup? This will allow us to replicate your environment locally and identify the exact cause without impacting your live site.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards
